Jay Scharf is a partner in Stroock’s Private Client Services Group. Jay works with high net worth individuals and family offices to achieve their personal and estate planning goals, and to mitigate estate, gift, GST and income taxes. Jay utilizes sophisticated Trusts, Wills and business entities to implement estate planning and business succession planning strategies to transfer and preserve wealth in the most desirable and tax efficient manner.  

Jay’s experience also includes all aspects of trust and estate administration. In addition, Jay advises clients with respect to federal gift tax returns, federal and state estate tax returns and estate and gift tax audits. Jay’s practice also includes trust and estate related litigation.
