Daniella A. Schmidt

Daniella Schmidt is a member of Stroock’s Litigation Group. Her practice focuses on employment discrimination disputes. Prior to joining Stroock, Daniella worked as a Senior Attorney at the Brooklyn Defender Services on behalf of parents against unreasonable state intervention. While at BDS, Daniella focused, in part, on the organization's pro bono partnerships and was a member of the Early Defense Team.
Before becoming a public defender, Daniella worked as an associate at an AmLaw 20 law firm in New York, where her practice focused on pro bono work, including plaintiff side and impact litigation around issues such as LGBTQ rights, gun violence, human rights, workers’ rights and women’s rights, immigration and asylum hearings, and family defense work. In addition, Daniella’s practice focused on a wide variety of commercial litigation matters, white-collar investigations and regulatory defense matters for high-profile clients across a variety of industries. Daniella has advised clients on a number of topics including securities fraud, anti-trust laws, employment matters, first amendment law and complex commercial transactions.
