Dustin Linden represents financial institutions and individuals in a variety of high-stakes litigation, regulatory and enforcement matters in state and federal courts throughout the country, including class actions, complex commercial cases, and white collar and government enforcement actions. He also counsels clients on disputes alleging violations of common law claims and consumer protection statutes, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Credit Billing Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, California’s Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and California’s Unfair Competition Law.

Relatedly, Dustin spent years developing expertise in the area of lender-placed insurance, having defended numerous insurance companies and mortgage servicers from individual and class claims, and authoring articles and an amicus curiae brief on the subject. He has authored several other amicus curiae briefs on complex consumer finance and economic issues as well.

Dustin is also a member of the firm’s Real Estate Litigation Group and has represented clients in a broad array of disputes, from government entities in environmental actions over large-scale infrastructure projects to corporate tenants in complex landlord-tenant matters.

Dustin recognizes the imperative of giving back and providing pro bono legal services to those in need. He has successfully represented the victim of a fraudulent mortgage modification scheme, an adoptive parent seeking improperly denied state childcare funds, a disabled person facing discrimination in the use of public transportation, and a criminal defendant seeking habeas corpus relief from an unconstitutional prison sentence, among many others.
