Carmen Otey is an associate in Stroock’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Corporate Group. Carmen’s practice covers a wide range of transactional matters, including representing commodity merchants, investors and private companies in a variety of debt financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and structured transactions involving renewable energy, conventional energy and other commodities. They also counsel investment managers in connection with the formation and operation of private equity funds, real estate funds and hedge funds accommodating U.S. and non-U.S. investors.

Carmen focuses their pro bono work on reproductive justice, housing rights, family law and LGBTQ+ rights by serving various advocacy groups and low-income clients. Carmen co-chairs the Stroock Women Affinity Group and Reproductive Justice Task Force.
