Anita S. Rosenbloom, Chair of the Private Client Services Group and a member of the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Council, practices estate planning, business succession planning and estate and trust administration and litigation. She has particular expertise in estate, gift, generation-skipping and fiduciary income taxes and the use of life insurance and other trust vehicles in estate plans.
Anita represents many family groups, including some of the most prominent families in America, and has broad experience in overlaying estate planning on the business planning for owners of family-controlled entities in a wide array of industries, with particular expertise in real estate and private fund management. Anita regularly represents individuals, corporations, closely-held businesses and other entities in transactions involving the acquisition and disposition of interests by a decedent’s estates and trusts. She also assists individual clients with family law matters, such as premarital and separation agreements, as well as the creation and administration of charitable gift programs and foundations.

- Anita has lectured at the New York City Bar Association, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Practising Law Institute and has written articles on numerous estate planning subjects, including the use of life insurance and other trust vehicles to reduce tax liability and special planning considerations for the succession of closely-held business interests.
- She is a co-author of Manning on Estate Planning (Practising Law Institute, 7th ed., 2013 updated annually). Anita’s articles appear in publications such as the New York Law Journal, the New York University Institute on Federal Taxation, New York State Bar Association N.Y. Real Property Law Journal and the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Law Section Newsletter, and the Practising Law Institute’s Tax Law and Estate Planning Series.
