Katerina Barquet Stege is an associate in Stroock’s entertainment and litigation practice groups where she handles entertainment transactions and disputes for multinational media companies, celebrities and high profile individuals, including television and radio stations, concert promoters, prominent artists and managers, production companies, distributors and financiers. Ms. Barquet’s practice focuses on copyright, trademark, defamation, First Amendment issues, rights of publicity, non-competes, and breach of contract matters. Ms. Barquet’s fluency in Spanish has spurred an expertise representing Spanish-language media companies in pre-broadcast risk assessment and production-related matters. Ms. Barquet also has experience in art law and advises clients on art-related issues concerning commissioning artwork, purchasing and selling artwork, authenticity, art dealer rights and duties, consignments, licensing, misappropriation and litigation disputes.

Licensed to practice law in New York, California and Florida, Ms. Barquet’s practice is both national and international in scope. With a Specialization in International Legal Affairs and Business Law, Ms. Barquet’s practice extends to cross-border international matters in which she represents high-net worth international clients in their U.S.-based transactions.
