Joseph B. Giminaro manages Stroock’s Tax Certiorari Group. He has over 30 years experience handling complex real estate tax matters.

Mr. Giminaro handles major real estate tax cases before the New York City Tax Commission, Corporation Counsel's Office and in New York State Supreme Court proceedings. He provides advice on various tax incentive programs (ICAP, 421A, etc.). He also consults on real estate tax issues relating to new acquisitions and development projects, including the preparation of tax projections.

Prior to Stroock, he headed the Tax Certiorari departments at Graubard Mollen & Miller and Shea & Gould. Mr. Giminaro is also the former Chief Real Estate Tax Counsel to the NYC Department of Finance.
