Brett Lawrence's practice focuses on in-court and out-of-court restructuring and distressed M&A issues that exist in representing creditor, distressed investor and equity holder clients. In addition to his representation of official and ad hoc committees of creditors and equity holders, Mr. Lawrence also typically represents individual investors in the structuring and execution of investment, capital-raising and acquisition strategies in the distressed arena. He frequently counsels a wide range of clients on legal issues related to foreclosures, rights offerings and the many securities-related questions that arise in connection with trading securities, including the use of Big Boy letters and other compliance strategies.
