Stroock Partner Julia B. Strickland Named to the Los Angeles Daily Journal's "Top 100 Women Lawyers in California" List for 2016
Los Angeles, CA, April 20, 2016 -- Julia B. Strickland, chair of Stroock's Financial Services/Class Action Practice Group, has again been named one of California's "Top 100 Women Lawyers" by the Los Angeles Daily Journal. This is the 11th year Ms. Strickland has been honored for her work and accomplishments. The list recognizes women lawyers in California at the top of their practice. Ms. Strickland is the managing partner of the Los Angeles office and is a member of the Firm's National Executive Committee.
The "Top 100 Women Lawyers" special issue highlights several of Ms. Strickland's matters, including defending JPMorgan Chase, PayPal and Discover against allegations of improper and unfair practices. The article also featured Ms. Strickland’s representation of HSBC against accusations of imposing improper overdraft charges, as well as her defense of Citibank in its credit card arbitration agreement.
