Shannon Reaves Discusses Impact of CFIUS Rules on Chinese Investment
In a recent Bloomberg Law article titled “Real Estate Risk Reviews Could Chill Chinese Investment in U.S.,” Stroock special counsel Shannon Reaves discusses the new CFIUS rules that are set to take effect mid-February and their potential impact on Chinese investment.
“As with any new regulation, investors will be hesitant at first,” Shannon noted. Whether it will have a chilling effect on Chinese investment “will depend on how CFIUS chooses to enforce the rules,” he said.
