“There’s a drastically new protest ritual underway,” Senior Counsel Joel Cohen writes in New York Law Journal, describing recent protests over the leaked draft indicating that the Supreme Court may overturn Roe v. Wade and engaging in a debate over whether the homes of judges should be exempt from protests.

“Of course, protest has been as American as apple pie since the dawn of the Republic. No disagreement there from ‘decent’ people. How better for the public to vibrantly exercise its First Amendment right to convey its views to potentially recalcitrant executives or legislators?”
