Stroock, Stroock & Lavan LLP is pushing a tipping point again! The firm is named a 2021 Tipping the Scales firm by the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance. Seriously, this is a big deal. The Alliance has been compiling gender equity data at the partnership level since 2012, when that data revealed women attorneys only made up 33% of new partners in major law firms. This year, the Alliance studied data from 187 American law firms. Stroock is one of only 67 firms to introduce a new partner class whose makeup includes more than 50% women attorneys. And we are proud of this achievement. Equality is a foundational premise at Stroock, and including equal numbers of men and women as Partners signals our commitment to support women attorneys gain equality. We strive to put forth a diverse and inclusive workplace, one where everyone feels valued and eager to contribute to the business and the success of our clients.
The Diversity and Flexibility Alliance is a think tank that collaborates with organizations to develop non-stigmatized flexible work policies that promote inclusive work cultures and help to advance more women into leadership positions.
