Quyen Truong, partner in Stroock’s Financial Services Litigation, Regulation and Enforcement Group, spoke with the American Banker about an upcoming Consumer Financial Protection Bureau proposal, which is anticipated to feature consumer disclosures and input at its center.

Quyen noted the CFPB will need to proceed with caution if hosting an open-ended notice, stating that “in the long run, there will likely be attempts to use email and text because the industry and consumer groups have wanted to get more guidance as those become more convenient ways to reach consumers.”
