In an article titled “BigLaw Racial Justice Efforts Continue To Build Momentum,” Jeff Keitelman, co-managing partner of Stroock, and Yakiry Adal, director of talent and inclusion at Stroock, discuss the firm’s recent announcement that more than 30 partners are in the midst of taking an in-depth six-month course on anti-racist leadership where they are learning about bias in the workplace, as well as numerous other aspects of racism and racial inequality in society.

Keitelman, who has been a participant in the series, noted that “The spotlight placed on diversity in 2020 is obviously undeniable, but the key for us was how to address these issues with authenticity, intention and sustained drive. The program is helping us bring our most educated and authentic selves to our DEI work at Stroock.”

Adal explained why Stroock chose to educate its leadership in a targeted manner. “These are the leaders responsible for work allocation, other opportunities and client engagement. It's important they have a deep understanding of why we are where we are.”
