Stephen Newman, a partner in Stroock’s Financial Services Litigation, Regulation and Enforcement Group, recently authored a piece for the Daily Journal. In the article, Stephen discusses California’s Unfair Competition Law, Business and Professions Code Section 17200 et seq., and the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Civil Code Section 1750 et seq., which remain the most litigated consumer protection statutes in the state.
