Join us at the 19th Annual Long Island Sound Citizens Summit
Learn more about clean water infrastructure needs in the Long Island Sound region and how these projects might be financed and completed.
Nationally, investments in clean water infrastructure, such as modernizing sewage treatment plants and storm sewers, are being recognized as critical for clean water and for stimulating the economy and creating jobs. Locally, clean water investments are fundamental to maintaining and improving the health of Long Island Sound. The conference brings together national and regional experts from government and the private sector to discuss clean water infrastructure needs, and to identify the actions and partnerships necessary to meet those needs.
Who Should Attend:
The Long Island Sound Citizens Summit is for everyone with an interest in the identification, protection and enhancement of the natural resources of Long Island Sound. The conference will provide opportunities to:
– Network with others interested in improving the water quality of the Long Island Sound watershed;
– Learn about national, regional, and local initiatives (including the economic recovery plan) to finance clean water projects that produce new jobs;
– Hear about the new trends in green infrastructure design and technology, which can reduce impacts on aged sewage and stormwater systems;
– Pose questions to our expert panelists and learn ways to get involved and show support for a healthier Long Island Sound.
