Real estate lawyers need a general review of construction law - both because they are often asked to review construction contracts and because construction issues arise in virtually all leases. The panel will discuss the basics of construction contracts; as well as the issues that arise when leasing space in a building under construction, in landlord buildouts, and in tenant buildouts. Special Feature: This program will include a discussion of relevant mechanics' liens, contractor disputes and bankruptcy issues.
