Leaking Legal Advice

Nowadays, whistleblowers often become heroes in some sense, even if their motivations for blowing the whistle may be questionable indeed.

But what about when they gain access to privilege-protected communications between a corporation and its lawyers, and leak them. Should the same hero worship apply? Or should they be punished for breaching their duties toward the attorney-client privilege, which the law traditionally holds sacrosanct?
