Elizabeth C. Carter represents commercial defendants in a wide range of litigation matters, including civil enforcement actions, contract disputes, insurance and reinsurance matters, and securities matters. She has assisted clients in responding to civil and grand jury subpoenas, and, through her practice, has appeared in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels.
Ms. Carter focuses her pro bono work on representing victims of domestic violence in litigated family law disputes. She is the leader of the firm’s Family Law Team and is the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of its Health and Wellness Affinity Group.
HONORS & AWARDSMs. Carter has received two Commitment to Justice Awards from Her Justice, a non-profit organization, for her work representing victims of domestic violence in New York Family Court.
