Dale J. Degenshein Joins Stroock’s Co-op and Condo Practice
New York, New York, October 8, 2007…Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, a national law firm with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, announced that Dale J. Degenshein has joined the firm’s Cooperatives and Condominiums Group as Special Counsel, effective today.
Ms. Degenshein (47), joins Stroock from Cantor, Epstein & Degenshein, LLP, where she was a founding Partner. She has represented and advised more than 100 cooperatives, condominiums and homeowners’ associations and has extensive experience in areas of representation, including breach of fiduciary duty, review and interpretation of governing documents, housing discrimination, reasonable accommodations for disabilities, claims against individual board members, transactions and review and interpretation of applicable insurance policies. Ms. Degenshein served as chair of The New York City Bar Association’s Cooperative and Condominium Law Committee from 2001 – 2004. She lectures regularly at the City Bar’s annual “Hot Topics Affecting Cooperatives and Condominiums” continuing legal education program and at the New York State Judicial Institute. She is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York Cooperatives and Condominium Law Committee, the Women’s Bar Association (Committee on the Judiciary) and the New York State Bar Association Real Property Section’s Committee on Cooperatives and Condominiums.
