Julia Strickland Named to LABJ’s Most Influential Women Lawyers List

LOS ANGELES – April 17, 2018 - Stroock Partner Julia Strickland was named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s ‘Most Influential Women Lawyers’ list for a second year in a row. Strickland, who is Managing Partner of Stroock’s Los Angeles office, Member of the firm’s National Executive Committee, and Co-Chair of the National Class Action/Financial Services Practice Group, has been recognized among 75 of the most successful and accomplished female lawyers in Los Angeles County.
The publication recognized Ms. Strickland for being a leader in the representation of financial services companies having litigated all aspects of the financial services industry including lending and servicing, retail banking, unfair practices, insolvency, and federal and state regulatory compliance. Beyond serving as Chair of Stroock’s National Financial Services Litigation Regulation and Enforcement Group which includes 36 attorneys in multiple states, she has amassed a client list that includes the who’s who of industry companies such as American Express, Citigroup, Discover, JPMorgan Chase, HSBC, TransUnion, Synchrony, Verizon and PayPal. 
Ms. Strickland has also been recognized by several national and regional publications for her stature in the legal and local business communities including Chambers & Partners USA under the Financial Services: Consumer Finance Litigation – Nationwide category since 2014 “Band 1”; Benchmark Litigation as a “Litigation Star” 2015 – 2018; Super Lawyers, ranked since 2004 and most recently as one of both “The Top LA Women Lawyers” for 2016 and for her outstanding work in Banking Law for since 2013; and Ms. Strickland is annually recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the category of “Litigation – Banking & Finance.”
Active in the Los Angeles arts community, Ms. Strickland’s memberships include Board Member, Abraham in Motion; Board of Directors, Center Dance Arts; Co-Chair Board of Ambassadors, Los Angeles Music Center; and Member Board of Trustees, Dizzy Feet Foundation.
