Regarded as a “fierce” and “zealous” advocate, and lauded for her creativity and encyclopedic knowledge of the law, Stroock partner Michele Jacobson maintains an active and ever-growing practice concentrated on complex insurance and reinsurance matters. She heads the firm’s New York General Litigation Practice Group, co-chairs both the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance  and General Litigation Practice Groups while still always finding time to mentor the firm’s women lawyers.  Clients come to her for everything from advice on contract wording and risk minimization strategies to high-stakes dispute resolution in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels across the nation.

Respected by judges, her peers and clients, Michele has been recognized by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 United States. The New York Times Magazine named her a top woman lawyer, Business Insurance magazine named her one of 14 “Women to Watch,” the New York Law Journal listed her as a Trailblazer and Crain's New York Business included Michele as among their Notable Women in Law. She sits on Stroock’s Executive Committee and co-chairs Stroock Women’s Affinity Group. Michele also remains active in the community, serving on the GlamourGals Foundation Executive Board, the Babson College Parent Executive Committee, and the Strategic Planning Committee of her synagogue.
