Direct Air Capture Coalition (DAC Coalition) teamed up with Stroock attorneys John Pierce and Daniel Lewkowicz to make important progress towards addressing climate change. Serving as pro bono counsel to the DAC Coalition, the Stroock team incorporated the organization as a charitable non-profit corporation in Delaware, and is working with the organization to establish its governance policies and secure 501(c)(3) status. This is an important and impactful step in preserving our planet.

The DAC Coalition supports the global effort to address climate change. To reach net-zero emissions, climate scientists advise using carbon dioxide removal technologies such as direct air capture. This is a complex process for any individual organization, but with a global coalition, these important technologies are achievable.

As an official charitable non-profit corporation, the DAC Coalition efficiently brings together diverse innovators to mobilize Direct Air Capture technologies. Stroock is proud to help the DAC Coalition formalize its operations and establish a pathway for sustained work by its members, who hail from private companies, nonprofits, universities and philanthropies working on Direct Air Capture initiatives.
