Julia Strickland, co-chair of Stroock’s Financial Services Litigation, Regulation and Enforcement Group, has again been named one of California’s “Top Women Lawyers” by the Daily Journal. The list recognizes women lawyers in California at the pinnacle of the practice. This is the 16th year Julia has been honored by the Daily Journal for her work and accomplishments.  Julia is a Chambers Band 1 ranked attorney in the Financial Services Regulation: Consumer Finance Litigation–Nationwide category.  She is one of only three attorneys across the country to receive this recognition. She additionally has been repeatedly recognized by Los Angeles Business Journal, Super Lawyers, Benchmark Litigation, the Los Angeles Times and The Best Lawyers in America.

Julia represents clients across many industries, with a particular specialty in the representation of financial services companies. She has experience with the full range of litigation issues, having defended hundreds of complex and class actions through all stages of the litigation process. She also routinely represents companies in compliance counseling, regulatory proceedings and responding to claims by federal and state regulators and enforcement authorities.

Julia is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office, and co-chair of Stroock’s Financial Services Litigation, Regulation and Enforcement Group. In addition to her professional achievements, Julia is actively involved in arts organizations, notably serving as a board member of Center Dance Arts, Abraham.In.Motion and American Dance Movement.
