Stroock partner Stephen Newman explores the ongoing issues surrounding the constitutionality of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) in a Law360 article titled “Consumer Protection Cases To Watch In 2020.”

Stephen discussed Facebook’s Supreme Court challenge to the TCPA’s definition of the term “autodialer,” saying that the matter could raise questions of how statutes are interpreted long after they are enacted.

“We might see a lot of disagreement among the court in terms of how to read the statutes,” he said.
