In the article entitled “Cancellation, and Defending Accuseds – How do changes in social value manifest today?” Stroock senior counsel Joel Cohen considers the potential impact of allowing societal values, and cancel culture’s pressure to muscle law firms into refusing to represent unpopular clients. Cohen expresses his concerns about the precedent set if those who despise a particular defendant are allowed the power to impact the judicial system and access to justice.
