Ross Moskowitz on Recent Growth in Flushing Neighborhood

Chinatowns across the nation have faced change to their historic landscapes, though this is unfolding on different timelines and at different magnitudes.
In New York, some members of the Chinese community have relocated to Flushing, Queens, a hotbed for condominium and affordable housing developments.
In an article for CNBC, Real Estate Partner Ross Moskowitz, who represents several developers’ projects in the neighborhood, commented on the growth, saying “[o]ne of the unique aspects of Flushing is what I call the 15-minute neighborhood, the idea that you can live, work, play, go to school, partake in open space, shop, sort of all within 15 minutes.”
Ross had previously led a team at Stroock in securing approval from the New York City Council on behalf of a coalition of three developers, to create a new Special Flushing Waterfront District. The development will contain residential, hotel and commercial spaces, and is expected to be completed by 2025.
