Stroock partner and former CFPB Assistant Director Quyen Truong was featured in a Law360 article titled “Roberts May Have Tipped Hand With Focus On CFPB Funding.”

With the Supreme Court now hearing oral arguments on the constitutionality of the CFPB, the article looks at questions posed by Chief Justice John Roberts, the only member of the high court so far to focus on the issue of the CFPB’s financial independence, and what these questions might mean for the ongoing case.

The Chief Justice may be looking for a way to “help the court to limit its ruling and avoid implicating other agencies and offices, both those already in existence and those Congress may create in the future,” Quyen said.
