Charles Moerdler Named to City & State New York’s 2023 Bronx Power 100 List

City & State New York, the premier media organization dedicated to covering New York’s local and state politics and policy, announced their annual Bronx Power 100 list, highlighting local leaders dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents across the Bronx. Stroock Senior Counsel Charles Moerdler has been named among the distinguished individuals recognized for outstanding leadership and commitment to serving the local community.
An attorney and government adviser in New York City for six decades, and possessing extensive public sector experience, Charles has held several prominent public service positions throughout his career. He sits on Bronx Community Board 8 and serves as a board member of New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority, including Metro North Railroad, Long Island Railroad, NYC Transit Authority and Triborough Bridge & Tunnel Authority, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the New York City Housing Development Corp. Previously, Charles served on the board of the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York; was Commissioner of Housing and Buildings of the City of New York; a real estate and development consultant to New York City Mayor John Lindsay; a member of the city’s Air Pollution Control Board; and chairman and commissioner of the New York State Insurance Fund.
