New York, June 22, 2018 The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) honored Stroock co-managing partner Alan Klinger with the Edward Brodsky Founder's Award in recognition of his commitment to ADL and years of service pursuing ADL’s mission – to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. Mr. Klinger serves as an instrumental part of ADL New York – New Jersey’s Regional Board and as the co-chair of ADL’s Lawyers Division.
The Award, presented at the ADL Annual Regional Meeting, recognizes established and dedicated leaders of the Lawyers Division and the ADL. Award recipients, which are selected by leaders of the New York Region, are distinguished lawyers who emulate Edward Brodsky’s values and believe that the law is a vehicle for civil rights, social justice and peaceful conflict resolution.
The mission of the Lawyers Division is to unite members of the legal community committed to the mission of ADL – to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all. In its more than 20-year history, the Lawyers Division has carried on the tradition of the legal community’s commitment to the civil rights and social justice initiatives of ADL and connected with established professionals dedicated to advancing its mission through legal advocacy, amicus briefs, research and philanthropy.
