The year 2006 was an eventful one in the development of arbitration law, including decisions rendered by California federal and state courts.  This Stroock Special Bulletin provides a review of notable California cases during 2006 and also includes a January 31, 2007 update on the California Court of Appeal's opinion in Berry v. American Express Publishing, which has a potentially broad application to credit transactions in California.
