Stroock and REBNY will co-sponsor "Navigating the Climate Mobilization Act: Steps to Take Today," via webinar on Wednesday, July 8 at 12PM EDT. While the COVID-19 pandemic has been top of mind in the New York City real estate sector, the compliance deadlines set by the Climate Mobilization Act – as well as its fiscal and operational impacts – continue to draw near. The legislation targets an 80% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from NYC buildings by 2050, and the first deadline to apply for an adjustment to a building’s emissions limitation arrives in one year – on July 1, 2021.

Building owners, buyers, sellers, lenders, operators and tenants should attend this webinar co-hosted by Stroock and the Real Estate Board of New York, to find out how to navigate the complex issues involved early on, such as:
• The adjustment application process and how you can best prepare
• The leasing considerations for both landlords and tenants
• The real estate tax issues, including the potential abatement benefits available
