Impacting Partner Participation
Thursday, March 18
1:45 – 2:45 pm
This session will feature a roundtable discussion exploring how changes in the law firm environment may affect (for better or worse) partner participation in pro bono. Special emphasis will be placed on considerations such as:
- reduced headcounts
- integrating pro bono with other partner responsibilities, such as the greater need for partners to evaluate, mentor, and supervise associates in merit-based systems
- compensation policies
- corporate client interest in pro bono
- increased expectations of client development and rainmaking
- other business pressures
Marketing, Media and Pro Bono
Friday, March 19
11:00 am – 12:00 pm
This session will explore how marketing pro bono efforts, both externally and internally, using mainstream and social media can help attract new pro bono volunteers, recruit new attorneys, enhance a firm’s visibility and reputation among key audiences, and secure new pro bono opportunities, including high-profile representations.
