Join Professor Wendel and hear about the challenges for lawyers advising clients on their obligations regarding electronic records storage, retention, and discovery. This presentation focuses on the ethical obligations of lawyers including advising on records retention policies, counseling clients about retention obligations in light of pending or foreseeable litigation, and monitoring client compliance with court orders and discovery obligations. This is an important and rapidly developing issue for both litigators and transactional attorneys.
