New York Civic, in cooperation with the Museum of the City of New York will hold a forum to discuss Judicial Reform.
Should New York State Supreme Court judges be appointed by the governor, the judicial convention system, or by popular election? Was the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling upholding the constitutionality of local party convention systems a good decision? New York Civic President Henry Stern will moderate a discussion on judicial reform with Michael Cardoza, NYC Corporation Counsel; Steven De Castro, judicial fairness advocate; Joseph Forstadt, Partner, Stroock; Arthur Greig, Counsel to the NY County Democratic Committee; and Michael Olivia, Chief of Staff, New York Civic.
