We have an active Associates’ Committee, which serves as the collective voice of our associates and special counsel. The committee provides a forum for discussion of issues and concerns affecting associates and special counsel, and our firm as a whole. The Associates’ Committee also provides an avenue for communication between management and the associates about matters of interest and firm policies, and serves as another channel through which our associate body can engage with firm management. Topics of discussion have included:
- Recruitment and retention policies
- Continuing legal education programs
- Professional development and training
- Pro bono activities
- Community volunteer programs
- Technology and support services initiatives
The committee meets monthly and is led by partner and senior-level administrators in our New York, Washington, DC, Los Angeles and Miami offices. Committee representatives, representing each office, are elected annually to one-year terms and can run for re-election at the conclusion of their term.
Our class and office representatives consult regularly with, and work diligently on behalf of, their constituents to ensure that the concerns of the associate and special counsel populations in all departments and offices are addressed.
