Stroock, a major Wall Street law firm, has an opening for a Senior Manager of Lateral Partner Recruiting in our Legal Personnel and Recruiting department. This position will report to the Director of Legal Personnel and Recruiting and will primarily be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of lateral partner recruiting and integration efforts across all offices (NY, LA, MI and DC) to attract top partner-level talent to meet our strategic and business objectives.  This person will play a lead role as the point person at the firm and be responsible for handling each lateral partner candidate’s progression throughout the process, which includes from point of entry through the time of hire, including integration thereof. 
Day-to-day responsibilities:
·         Proactively source candidates, using market data as well as internal intelligence to capitalize on potential recruiting opportunities
·         Keep abreast of market intelligence/trends and law firm news, which present  opportunities for talent acquisition/s
·         Work closely with members of the Executive Committee and other key partners to identify partner-level hiring needs, develop job descriptions and execute recruiting strategies to best fill these needs
·         Develop and maintain relationships with recruiters and search firms and set-up regular check-in calls/meetings; negotiate placement fee agreements
·         Work with the Marketing Department and others to develop and update collateral recruiting materials, including print, website as well as a presence on social media
·         Schedule meetings for candidates, collect feedback and serve as the primary point person between the firm, candidates and search firms; coordinate LPQ process, conflicts checks, background check and other due diligence
·         Prepare candidate materials for review and consideration by Executive Committee members
·         Oversee on-boarding and integration efforts and check in on a regular basis with new partners as well as with the various administrative departments and respective business unit/s, to ensure a smooth transition to and seamless integration at the firm
·         Maintain firm recruiting database and track candidates and provide statistics, metrics and reports on a regular basis
·         Collaborate with the Director of Diversity and Professional Development to ensure efforts are undertaken to achieve increased diversity within our partnership ranks through lateral partner recruiting initiatives
Other skills and requirements:
·         Bachelors’ degree required
·         Law firm experience is a must
·         Minimum of 8 years recruiting senior and or partner level candidates in a professional services organization, preferably at a law firm
·         Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications (oral and written) skills, including the ability to gain the confidence of others, as well as build and maintain strong relationships both within and outside the firm
·         Ability to sell the firm; must have professional presence
·         Must have strong business acumen, be a strategic as well as a creative thinker
·         Must be hands on and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with others as a team player
·         Must be proactive, exhibit a positive attitude, high energy and exercise sound judgment, particularly with respect to handling of confidential information
·         Must have a sense of urgency, ability to prioritize as well as manage conflicting priorities
·         Some travel to other offices may be required
