Shakti M. Rhys focuses on the representation of prominent developers and sponsors, landlords, commercial tenants, lenders, borrowers and investors in a broad range of real estate transactions, with an emphasis on cooperative and condominium law.
Ms. Rhys has extensive experience on spearheading the preparation and sign-off of offering plans involving cooperatives and condominiums. Ms. Rhys specializes in luxury condominium offerings involving new construction buildings as well as the conversion of existing high-end rental properties in New York City. In addition to preparing, negotiating and obtaining New York Attorney General sign off on cooperative and condominium offering plans, Ms. Rhys also specializes in the representation of both landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of complex commercial and retail leases, as well as the representation of sellers and buyers in the sale and transfer of cooperative shares and condominium units.
