PRACTICE AREAS


David W. Lowden is a special counsel with experience representing public and private businesses and nonprofit organizations with an emphasis on corporate securities, commercial transactions, real estate investment trusts, nonprofit law and art law.

Most recently, his practice has focused on counseling nonprofit organizations, including entity formation, obtaining recognition of tax exempt status, federal tax compliance, charitable solicitation registration and compliance and governance policies and procedures. He is very active in the firm’s Public Service Project, where he counsels on tax-exempts and supervises junior attorneys handling corporate assignments. He was recently the Chair of the Non-Profit Organizations Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
